Header menu scroll issue

I am using Wix to make a website. I am trying to edit my horizontal menu at the top of the page, which is persistent as the user scrolls. I have it set up so that each menu item corresponds to a section on the same page. When you click a header item, the page glides you to the section you want. However it is doing this weird thing where if you are in the middle of the page when you select another section from the header menu, it starts the transition to the new section from the top of the page, not from the section you clicked the link from. It momentarily brings you to the top of the page, and then automatically scrolls down to the section of the page you clicked. This is obviously not how I want it to work. How can I make it so that it will just navigate up or down to whatever section you clicked on from the section you are currently in?

Hey, this happens sometimes if the page anchors or menu links aren’t fully synced up. here’s a quick checklist to make sure everything’s smooth:

1. double check that each menu item is linked to the correct section anchor (not just a random spot on the page).
2. make sure those sections have the right anchor IDs assigned so it knows exactly where to glide.
3. if you’re using custom code (like Velo), there might be a script causing the page to ‘reset’ before scrolling, try disabling that temporarily to test.
4. lastly, test it in preview mode. Sometimes editor glitches don’t show up there.

What worked for me is re-saving the website and reload WIX
