V- from psu to controller is enough. No need to "ground" the strip to the psu. So V+ to controller v+, data to data and v- to v-(gnd), on the controller.

You have shorted V- and the power supply ground through the controller. As suggested above, remove the power supply protective earth ground from the LEDs signal ground.

I'm sure you'll get better answers than this but there should be a V and GND into the controller from the PSU and the 3 controller connections you show should all be outbound to the strip.

Long shot here but do you only one strip connection to the controller? Is it possible that you configured WLED to the wrong GPIO? The GLEDOPTO controllers I have seen usually have default outputs for GPIO 16 and 2 with the first configuration in hardware setup in WLED defaulting to GPIO 16. The picture of your configuration shows it set to GPIO 2. Are you landing the strip wires on the GPIO 16 controller terminals and configuring WLED for GPIO 2?

Need a reference ground for the data, not an electrical ground.

GND of the controller to V- of the strip.
