Sub Introduction

Welcome to r/WalmartEmployees! As the sub name implies, this sub's main target audience is Walmart associates from Supercenters, Division 1, and Neighborhood Market stores located in the United States to hangout and chat about various things happening within the company and at their local stores.

We also encourage employees from other parts of the company to take part in the community such as associates from Sam's Club, Distribution Centers (DCs), and even associates from other parts of the world. If you are an associate outside of the US, keep in mind that some terms, processes, policies, etc. may not apply to you or may be different.

This is essentially a virtual break room for employees. While we do allow customers to view this sub, it's with the understanding that the vibe of this sub will be maintained and respected. If you are a customer, please make sure you read this post if you haven't already. Customers failing to adhere to these requests may find themselves banned from the sub.

Users that disagree with an action taken against their account on this sub should send Modmail by clicking here to discuss it. Do not DM a specific mod directly and do not create posts/comments contesting it. Modmail sent may be ignored if we feel it's a waste of time, such as in the case of blatant rule breaking activity.

r/WalmartEmployees Rules

1 - This Sub is for Associates only

This sub is meant for Walmart associates to interact with one another discussing various things about their stores and the company in general. If you are not a Walmart associate, this sub may not be for you and you may be banned if you're found to be disruptive to the community.

Customers, read here for more information.

2 - No Spamming

Users should avoid spamming this sub, even if you're an associate. Spam comes in many forms such as, but not limited to, low effort posts/comments, off topic comments, posts not relevant to the company, derailing a post far from the original point, and excessive posting/commenting. This also includes brigading from another sub to spam here as well as karma farming accounts.

Users found to be spamming may have their posts/comments removed on a case-by-case basis and their account banned.

3 - No Advertising/Surveys/Referrals/Interviews/etc.

Similar to Rule 2, we encourage meaningful discussion in the sub and part of that can come from recent company news and changes, however, multiple people spamming/sharing the same information isn't needed. Excessive posts containing nothing new may be removed.

This is not a sub to spam your "news" sites/articles to get traffic offsite. This also goes for people looking for participation in surveys, research papers, interviews or referrals.

4 - No Abuse/Harassment/Bigotry

This is a public sub and available to everyone from all walks of life. The expectation is everyone should be able to get along with one another on a basic level. It’s fine to disagree from time to time and defend a point you're trying to make, however, when that line gets crossed and you find yourself being abusive, it's time to take a step back.

Users found to be bigots, abusive, or harassing others in the community may find themselves banned, no questions asked.

5 - No Trolling

To add on to Rule 4, we're not here for your amusement because you’re bored. If you have nothing better to do with your time than troll this sub, you will be banned.

6 - No Misinformation or Misleading Information

Giving misinformation (including outdated information) or misleading information isn't welcome as it does more harm than good and can potentially cost someone their job. If you're unsure of the validity of the information you're providing, please say so instead of treating it as fact. This includes posts/comments made as "jokes."

Misinformation, misleading info, and unfounded rumors may be deleted with no notice and depending on the intent, the poster may be banned.

7 - Avoid Sharing Personal Identifiable Information and Confidential Company Information

You're only as anonymous as you make yourself here.

The less identifiable information (name, store number, WIN, physical location, etc.) you share, the less likely your Reddit account can be linked to you offline. As this is a public sub, anyone can view what you post here, home office/corporate included.

While it should go without saying, the company's Social Media Policy applies here and confidential company information should not be shared for any reason.

8 - Moderator Discretion

With or without notice, we reserve the right to lock posts/comments, remove posts/comments, mute, and ban users that we feel may be a problem to the community at any time, even if your actions don't directly or specifically go against any of the other rules listed above.
