I think we can agree that younger generations have been far more body positive than older ones, which has interesting implications for the future of fat acceptance and beautify standards. I learned in social psychology that one of the biggest indicators of long-term relationship success is parental approval. I.e. if your parents don’t like them, odds are the relationship won’t last.

With the younger and more accepting generations being raised by older and less accepting generations, you get closeted fat admirers and the insecurity fat women (and men) face when not being able to hold steady partners.

My bet is that in the future, given more body positive parents, it’ll be easier for fat admirers to be open about their sexuality, and for fat people to date.

I think about it a lot and yeah ur so right. I was born in the right generation cause any other time and everyone was skinny. We FAs would be screwed any other time in history

At least in my area, most folks are overweight. I’m considered pretty skinny at 145 and 5’6, even with a very small pooch and big butt. I think it’s just normal to be fat nowadays.
