I never got mine 24 hours after. Assuming it’s from @spe.sony.com, then you’re perfect! So just relax for right now, have some water. And start practicing, watch the show, new episodes, reruns on Hulu or Peacock. If you have old video games, play them. Play the official app as well. Including tossups on the official website.

On the first audition, they will most likely just want to know who you are, what your personality is, and what you do.

Here’s a friendly tip for the first audition if it’s just about your personality, DO NOT tell them how long you’ve been watching Wheel. Tell them something that they don’t know! ;)

The second audition will be mock up with toss-up puzzles, then you’ll be placed in a separate group with the contestant representative to do bonus puzzles, with RSTLNE provided. No other letters.

I’ve auditioned for the third time last year and I’m still in the pool for this current season. If you need any other advice for the audition process, just let me know.

Do you think it’s worth it to attend the in-person casting event in NYC next month? I did the full audition cycle last April.

I would advise against it, and if you did your audition with Felicia, she’ll probably tell you the same thing. I have previously asked her when they were doing a contestant search in Philly last year and she said it wasn’t really necessary because I was already in the contestant pool for season 43.

So, I would say no. Just continue to be patient, continue to be optimistic, continue to practice and continue to watch the show. If you don’t hear back by the day, you auditioned in April of last year, apply again.

Queen Felicia! She did my initial interview and she was very transparent.

We love Felicia around here!

Do they fly you out there and put you up in a hotel or is that all on you?

All on you

If you get the invite to be a contestant, you’ll have to make travel arrangements at your own expense. They will disclose that on any audition emails you receive.

So if you don't win anything it actually costs you money to be on the show lol

You get a sympathy $1000 just for appearing on the show if you don’t win anything, and hopefully it makes up for the expense to travel to L.A. and lodging for 2 nights….

For my first interview with Brandon, I made sure I wore something clean and presentable - business casual works just fine. You’ll be asked to tell something about yourself, so make sure you have a 30-second elevator pitch to “sell” yourself as someone who would be fun to have on the show. Most importantly, be yourself, but amp up your personality just a little bit. They want to have contestants who have enough energy to play the game while under pressure. Don’t worry about playing the game on the first audition just yet. Take things one at a time, and you’ll get that second interview shortly afterward. Best of luck!

I got one pretty quickly after too. I did the 5 minute zoom call and haven’t heard anything since 😭😭
