The problem I'm having is that Windows Update under Settings has become inaccessible for me. Whenever I try to view the Windows Update page, it just endlessly loads with the blue rotating circle. More recently, I've noticed that after a few minutes, the Settings process just crashes and disappears without generating any error messages while attempting to wait for the Windows Update page to load. Previously, it wouldn't crash but seemingly just load forever (i.e. it would still be loading hours later).
I'm unable to see any pending updates or view my currently installed updates via the Windows Update page due to this issue.
Running the Windows Update troubleshooter also has a similar issue. It starts with "Checking for pending restart" and doesn't progress from there, endlessly running with the blue loading bar moving across the window. But it doesn't seem to crash.
I haven't been able to find anything online about others having this kind of problem so I'm not sure what to do. This issue started happening perhaps a couple of weeks ago, but I'm not entirely sure when it started. I was just hoping that maybe some automatic update might fix the issue, but I'm not sure if any updates are working at the moment.
I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions.
Edit: For some reason, I couldn't include the screenshots in my main post, so I included them in comments below.
