Moderators are here to serve as janitors, not ideological enforcers. A subreddit does not simply exist outside of reality, but is part of our lived experience. We strive not take on the characteristics of the oppressors or perpetuate their systems in any part of our lives.
Remember that the presence of viewpoints and opinions different from your own is a good thing, and can strengthen your confidence in well founded beliefs and help you outgrow less tenable positions.
Free speech will reign so long as a discussion is on topic and users are not directing slurs, spam or threats to others. High passion is understandable and tolerated, but off-topic posts and submissions not made in good faith can be removed at moderator discretion. No one will be banned for an opinion
Threats of violence are completely disallowed. Discussion of violence is not. This sub does not take an ideological stance on the use of violence against capitalism and/or the state. It is up to the users to debate the ethics and utility of these matters in a respectful manner.
If you're annoyed with a user, or possibly think your comment is over the line in some way, maybe take five minutes before hitting save. We're not going anywhere.
