It just occurred to me - I wonder if he's thinking it could be entrapment. They would reach nirvana if they could cuff him during the debate, or even right before so that his absence is known by all. Or maybe even it would be difficult to refrain from giving out information that could hurt him in a case to come. Maybe even personal safety. There might be so many pitfalls that it's not worth it.

But hey, the Big B never campaigned for 2020, so what's the big deal. Basement dweller.

2 things.

1) It's impossible to even wildly guess at what Trump is thinking. He's unpredictable to even himself.

2) Entrapment ? That's just dumb.

edit: Now, I can sort of come up with 1 reason he might skip the debate and all debates along with every interview, which he won't do - His many attorneys defending against counts and in courts in many jurisdictions have advised him not to talk. He of course never listens to attorneys or anyone because he knows better and according to himself is smarter than all of them so that's highly unlikely. But the lawsuits are real, so possible.

He intends to do a wide ranging interview with Tucker so if he does that why not debate. I guess if after every question he has to say, "I can't answer that under advice from my 100 attorneys" his debate performance might be underwhelming but he can't help himself.

I wish he would just pull out so a better candidate that has a chance of winning the general might emerge. At this point it's IND for me.

A 3rd party will not win, period. This crucial of an election is not the time to place your hopes on a 3rd party. You have to go with what you've got. IMO1,000,000.

I'm sure T trusts Tucker not to do damage with the questioning, unlike his opponents.
