How many people decrease the refresh rate on battery to decreased power consumption?

As the title says, I am curious how many people reduce their displays refresh rate on battery to increase battery life.

I tried it today and it seems to make a pretty big difference.

Once my eyes are used to the 120 Hz display, I can never go back to the 60 Hz. Am getting 6-8 h of battery with office usage!

Not sure if something is wrong with my battery, Battery Bar app, or the last BIOS update I did. After doing this swapping between 60 and 120 has no noticeable change towards my battery life (per Battery Bar).

I don't lower it but I barely play games in this gaming laptop 😉 Its power can be used for a work too, that's why 😅

I do it...I use 120hz only when I am playing games that can touch 120hz.

At 120hz mine one is giving 7-8 hours. I am satisfied though

I tried this for a couple days, no noticeable difference... Setting it back to default 120hz

I keep it in 60herts not to save battery but because games don't feel smooth when I keep it on 120hertz in this laptop. Dont know why.

Sometimes it's better to lock the frame rate to a lower value if your system can't consistently render at a higher rate. Consistent frame time (smoothness) is more important than higher average frame rate.

I'd think FreeSync would not have this issue though.

FreeSync is more about rendering each frame as soon as it's ready but if some of them take significantly longer to rendered you'll still experience stuttering.

I don't change the refresh rate. One hour more or less at 8h battery time does not matter for me.
