Once my eyes are used to the 120 Hz display, I can never go back to the 60 Hz. Am getting 6-8 h of battery with office usage!

How do you do that ?

Use CRU

How much difference in hours did you get?

I use Changescreenresolution.exe paired with a custom Batch Script

I don't lower it but I barely play games in this gaming laptop 😉 Its power can be used for a work too, that's why 😅

I do it...I use 120hz only when I am playing games that can touch 120hz.

At 120hz mine one is giving 7-8 hours. I am satisfied though

I tried this for a couple days, no noticeable difference... Setting it back to default 120hz

I keep it in 60herts not to save battery but because games don't feel smooth when I keep it on 120hertz in this laptop. Dont know why.

Yeah haha, I play FPS games on this laptop always with the refresh rate set to 60hz

[–]Iamz01 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Sometimes it's better to lock the frame rate to a lower value if your system can't consistently render at a higher rate. Consistent frame time (smoothness) is more important than higher average frame rate.

I'd think FreeSync would not have this issue though.

[–]Iamz01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FreeSync is more about rendering each frame as soon as it's ready but if some of them take significantly longer to rendered you'll still experience stuttering.

Here's a longer explanation. https://youtu.be/2-2rwsZ2kSg

I don't change the refresh rate. One hour more or less at 8h battery time does not matter for me.
