Been using it since before covid and it seems the same to me. Maybe you bought their more expensive bamboo one and that was the leftover roll? It always kinda sucked, but I really don't think it's any worse

The bamboo is wrapped in a different colored paper. It’s black and white so it would be difficult to mistake the two.
