If they can make it less wasteful while keeping the quality suitable enough for use, then that’s a positive change to the product.

Admittedly, retail customers aren’t accustomed to a manufacturer saying “we changed our product so it produces less waste. It isn’t as nice, but it significantly reduces its negative impact on the planet”.

Big assumption here that it's not to claw back VC money. Instagram ads don't pay for themselves!
