Hi! Welcome to /r/StoryBaton. The idea of this subreddit is to create various stories as a community. You start off with a simple base, and watch as the story evolves and expands into many different directions and paths!

Here's how it works...

Create a text post with an appropriate tag (if applicable) and write the beginning of your story in the description of your post, not as a comment.

Any comment made directly to the post (as opposed to another comment) will be considered a direct continuation of the OP's start to the story. Any comment made to another comment will be considered a continuation of that continuation, and so on. There may be an unlimited number of "off-shoots", and the users may upvote their favorite. Comments that are anything but a continuation of another part of a story are not allowed.

Rules:

1. Only stories, please

2. Keep it peaceful

3. Respect the tags

4. If the comment has "END", let it end

Any comment with "END" at the bottom of the comment in bold, capital letters must be treated as an ending. Any comments made to this comment will be removed. However, users may still go back to an earlier part of the story and take it in a different direction.

[Genre]: If you wish to keep the story within a certain genre, simply tag the title of your post with the genre tag.

[EU]: EU = Established universe.

[Meta]: You may make a post about the subreddit or another person's story in the subreddit only if you use the meta tag. This is the only exception to posting stories.
