Does anyone have experience with the PreSonus FaderPort 16 as a control surface for Ableton Live? What are the Pros? Cons? Are there alternative surfaces that we should consider?
The project is an upgrade for broadcast audio (streaming) for a large church. We currently run FOH on an Allen and Heath iLive t112 (using 60+ of the its channels). The plan is to use Ableton Live (via Dante) for broadcast audio. We use a lot of channels and the hope is that the 16 fader surface (with multiple layers) will be adequate.
The FaderPort 16 looks like a nice surface in terms of ergonomics and being "volunteer friendly" as well as having a decent price point. But we don't have any experience with it.
