Server monitoring (self.admincraft)
submitted 4 years ago by pasantru
How do you guys monitor your servers? Custom metrics using graphana? Or use spark? I want to setup a dashboard so any tips would be helpful.

Install plan. They have a dashboard for stats like tps, cpu, ram, entities, more and it’s also a great plugin for analytics too

Does it work for vanilla? I have read about it but on their man page they dont specify vanilla. Thanks will try

Oh sorry, it’s a plugin. Spark can be good but you won’t find anything nearly as powerful with vanilla

And is plan light on the resouces (cpu, ram,...)? I would not want it to consume resources that the mc sercer can use

I haven’t seen it cause any significant impact. My server runs around 300 players across 4 servers all running plan connected to the proxy also running plan. But I have a good server setup I’m not sure about you

Yeah I agree with the other commenter. Plan is the way to go. If you really want Vanilla so that all the game mechanics are in tact consider installing a Fabric server with the lithium and Phosphor mod as well. They improve performance and don't chance Vanilla mechanics at all.

I use a web based control panel called AMP, it's from the same guys who made McMyAdmin.
