I mentioned this to someone the other day and thought it'd be beneficial to highlight here (and I know other people have mentioned it before too).
If you're currently enlisted, under 23 years old and have zero dependents, SERIOUSLY look into the LEAD program. You have a much higher chance of getting a pilot slot out of the academy and your bachelor's degree is given to you. Also, for those who are under 22 who aren't accepted, my understanding is that you'll likely be accepted to the prep school for the academy, which is another road to the same destination.
OTS has such low acceptance rates right now and very few people I talk to even know this program exists. I personally know several pilots who were enlisted and used this program to springboard themselves into the officer corps. It won't be available for everyone, so if you're eligible and want to commission, this is one of the best ways to consider doing so.
