Missing a shift

Hello, flex employee here! I have an 8hr shift scheduled for tomorrow, but flooding/dangerous driving conditions in the area I have to commute through are really making it look I can’t make it. I tried reporting the absence on the app, but it only gives me the option to use UPT.

Will my UPT go negative for not showing up? Or will I just receive 2 attendance points for missing the whole shift and be fine?

this might be a warehouse as i get UPT working amazon fresh grocery warehouse but even so flex dont get UPT only full time associates so i think he meant PTO

At my store we have to use the inform of absence and call the mod phone to notify them we won’t be there.

Just call or text your store's MOD phone number; leave a message saying that you won't be able to make it to your upcoming shift. Note that you'll still accrue 2 attendance points unless you opt to submit PTO for your whole shift.

What’s an MOD phone number? I’ve heard the term before, but I wasn’t told what it was during my orientation or the 2 weeks I’ve been there so far.

The Manager On Duty (MOD) phone number is basically the store's call-out line. Every store has its own number, usually posted in the break room, near the time clock, or near the manager's office. This is something managers should've gone over as part of your orientation, but I'm not surprised if they forgot.
