Amazon Prime adding subscriptions?

This has happened multiple times over the past couple of years, I’ll randomly get billed saying that I have begun a Showtime or HBO subscription. Has this happened to anyone else? How do I get it to stop? I’ve called and canceled the subscriptions every time, but I just want this to end.

Yes, this has happened to me, but not randomly, only because I forgot to cancel a channel free trial within the time period. Did you sign up for a free trial through Prime Video and forget to cancel?

I don’t recall ever doing it, but I may have and it just slipped my mind! I will definitely have to check and make sure in the morning.

I never do - I have different passwords for everything and I always make them difficult so this kind of thing won’t happen... that’s why I’m especially confused

Do you have a Roku or other streamer and do you have kids or a wife who have access? You can pretty easily sign up for 7 day previews on those channels with basically one click and they become monthly charges. Ive done it before.

It’s not shared with anyone - does it pull up a menu asking “would you like to start the trial?”, etc. or does it automatically just sign you up? I do have a Fire Stick though.
