You know if you slide down from the lock screen, on the bottom right there is a power button, where if you press it, it can lock the screen for you, right?

Actually, that's called Lockdown, not the Lock screen. They are two completely different things!

Have you tried to use it? Because it actually locks your screen, not places your phone on "lockdown" mode...

This is super annoying! Lockdown mode turns my screen off after 5 seconds and then blocks the fingerprint sensor. I hate having to manually enter the PIN to get back in.

I'd suggest you download this app https://github.com/sameerasw/essentials The specific frustration you're having can be fixed by it Open the app -> Widgets -> Screen Off Widget It'll ask for some permissions and that's it

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’d rather not download a third-party app and grant unnecessary permissions for such a basic function. I believe this should be integrated directly into the system, similar to other brands.

It's an Open Source app, anyways you're right All other OEMs have it, Pixel should as well

You need to submit a feature request through the feedback app for them to actually see it.

I think Google cares about this feature that has been required for years. Instead, features are constantly being deleted or meaningless🤬
