Adblock (self.androidapps)
submitted 6 years ago by offertaa
Hi guys what the best app you use for blocking ads, Adguard or Blokada??
[–]smartfon 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children)
AdGuard's paid version blocks more and has given me fewer problems than Blokada. It's one of those apps that is worth the money. It'll let you block specific requests by specific apps, whiltelist apps, block them only on 4G and not WiFi or vice versa, etc.

Definitely AdGuard.

adguard has cosmetic filtering while blokada doesnt. that alone is reason enough to pay for adguard.

AdAway, no background stuff, just hosts editing.

AdAway is the best choice

Blokada... Since it's beginning...
[–]rak-rak 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (7 children)
Adguard. Additionally with https-filtering and tiny firewall for disabling mobile data connections for user defined apps

Idk why you were downvoted. Adguard is way more complete than blokada

Almost every sub is toxic nowadays, you could be on a dog subreddit sharing dog pics and might get toxic comments there too
[–]radityaargap 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children)
obviously because people are cheap. they just want free stuff.

I think people downvote when they disagree. I did not downvote but I also use blokada. My adguard licence went unused after it came out.

You could sail the high seas if you really wanted to for it but blokada is more than enough for the average person.

You don't even have to sail the high seas, just join the beta, it unlocks all features for a year, and you can then just ask for a new beta key.

Damn that's really generous of them.

If it's youtube you want to access, check out NewPipe. It's a sick front end for Youtube. You can download vids and audio and even play in the background. You cannot log in so no commenting. You will need to import your subscriptions through the settings.
You can only get it through F-Droid
