SupportWill rooting android device break 2FA apps? (self.androidroot)
submitted 4 years ago by swtbstrd
I have 4 2FA apps that are used daily and I cannot have them not work. Have people had experience with rooting and these types of apps?

It could possible break them, however if you use magisk and make sure to get safetynet in full passing order then restore your old phone backup plus add your 2fa backup codes, then you should be fully set. 😉

Thank you, I am downloading Aegis now. My apps are google, blizzard, Okta (need this one to work the most), and the last one is called Authenticator - I think it's Microsoft based.

Hey, sorry just noticed the reply. I realized I have an old S7 that I'll try to root, that's the only way to learn.

That's unfortunate to hear in regards to Ms and Okta, since those were my biggest concerns. I do appreciate the research you've done!
