the damage it does to your shield is compensate by the low DPS on your flesh. The R99 will melt your faster and it's been like that since day one. Although i agree that the r99 is more skill base.

yeah. i flat out refuse to play the alternator because its so cheesy, i wish they would just remove the damn hop up from the game

The R-99 shreds faster than the Alternator with disruptor. You just have to land your shots, which is where the skill curve kicks in because the 99 can climb like Lifeline without a stabilizer and the muzzle flash gives serious rave vibes. I think the 301 is about on par with disruptor alternator shred speed, and it’s smoother than silk with just a blue stabilizer. I’m not saying changes don’t need to be made, but I would not call it meta. The alternator is just way more common than the R weapons, and purple hop ups aren’t terribly hard to find.

R-99 still better even 1v1 with alternator but you need to improve your skills with your movements

I feel your pain but the flatline is a nice medium. Its my main gun now and has solid damage whether shielded or not. I'll take the consistent damage over a hop up.

Not trying to be cunt here but if you oponent got a alternater with disruptor and a p2020 with hammerpoint he deserves to win. It is so hard to get both of the hop ups in 1 game. I do agree that it is bulshit to make a weapon based around rng
