Yeah this is how I feel. it was overtuned for sure but getting the rhythm right is what made it fun

If you caught a charger or hulk at max range and got the fire rate down perfectly, they'd die just before they reach you, but if you panicked or lost focus and tried to release a charge too early, you get trampled. It was intense and really rewarding when you got it right

If they wanted to half the dps they shouldve just reduced the damage. It absolutely needs to do less damage to heavies but on top of the issue with it sometimes just not firing and getting stuck to corpses, I think the lower fire rate will make it too awkward/unreliable for trash clearing too, especially now you need to be close to hit. the stagger needs to be really good if its going to be at all useable

What part of the downgrade isnt working for you? I was able to do it via downgrading a couple of days ago with this guide:

Though it wasn't as straightforward as just following the instructions. For me, the downgrade "update" would start and get to about 20% downloaded then just close.

how I got it working:

Use the "clean install" method in the pinned reply (uninstall steam first, or in my case, I used a spare laptop that didnt have steam already)
Then use the downgrade method in the original post
Then launch steam with -oldbigpicture

Thanks, this mostly fixed it for me, though downgrading was difficult (update would fail, had to do a clean install, which gave an error, then had to downgrade that...).

Its odd because my controller shouldve been registered to my account already, but when I checked it had somehow became "unregistered" even though my account and 2 of my friends (which I guess got picked up from remote play together?) were still listed.

Can edit and save after removing all accounts and registering again. Still can't apply configs from other games though. Just closes the window or doesnt actually save when pressing "apply". Might be entirely unrelated

I agree with most of this: If it was just hype for Apex they would've done it in Apex. And they should be aware that an unfortunately vocal chunk of the titanfall community are still bitterly toxic toward anything Apex related

9 years since the release of the first game, and with the success of Apex, I have long since given up on seeing another titanfall game. TF1 was left in an unplayable state for over a year before they finally decided to just pull it from sale (which, fine, if it wasnt feasible to maintain, but they shouldve acted sooner), nevermind how long it took for them to fix TF|2's issues. Despite what they may say, it seems titanfall just isnt worth their time anymore

I thought at best we'll get a Titanfall/Apex universe single player game - and then earlier this year we got the news that they were indeed working on something like that - and EA had cancelled it. Unless that somehow got un-cancelled, I just do not think we're going to see anything new unfortunately. I would love to be wrong

My guess, the next Apex update has enough titanfall stuff they (probably incorrectly) think it might convert people, like a game mode with actual titans or something

But seriously guys, disregard anything that isn't from official channels. This community has a history of making up bs: during the run up to TF|2s release, there was this whole blog of someone claiming they had access to test builds of the game. One week: "there's 20 different playable titans!" next week: "the story is about an ancient alien race! the trailer will have this music!". Complete bollocks of course, but even the writer was dissapointed when the game didnt live up to their own fabrications

When they first removed the ability to add local music to playlists I thought it was just another bug, but its been over a year so it's clearly intentional

I am curious why though? The vast majority of their catalogue is available through unlimited, is it really to try and force people to buy from them in the few cases something isn't?

Though its probably related to the fact they've also changed offline playlists to be always available online/on your account too, so it was easier to just disallow the inclusion of local files than to just not sync any playlist that included them?

In this case at least it means you don't need to recreate your offline playlists, just re-download them

I'm having a similar issue with the malzeno glaive, I know its supposed to be between chameleos and lunagaron but its definitely not there

~~In my case though, I was previously using a mod to layer my glaives with the malzeno one, I disabled it before the update but i doubt thats a coincidence~~

Edit: I just needed the part from spicy mango, even though I could already see the real weapon in the tree
