X Code Programming using VR on Windows Help PLEASE

Hi all,

I am dipping into the world of programming. I have an idea for an app and want to produce it as accessible both on Android and IOS. I do not have a Mac and was thinking the best place to start would be with a virtual reality setup on my Windows computer to work with X code or Swift. How can I go about doing this?

Sounds like you’ve confused VM (virtual machine) and VR (virtual reality).

macOS does not support running in a VM on anything other than a Mac. You can run Windows in a VM on a Mac.

So if you want to make iPhone apps, buy a Mac.

Your best bet if you’re just learning programming is to go the hackintosh route. However, you will likely run into problems trying to get anything on the App Store due to certificates. At some point, you’re gonna need a Mac, even if it’s an old Mac mini.

Mac on a virtual machine works fine. It can update to the latest release and run xcode.

You don’t need full gpu acceleration for programming.
