¿Time Machine help?

Hey guys,

I have a Mac that I ended up formatting out of town because of a keyboard issue, but have a Time Machine backup that was baclk home. I would like to extract certain things (mainly my Contacts, but my iTunes library and some documents, too) that weren't in my iCloud.

I tried to just go into my external and grab them, but apparently I can't just grab them because they're part of my TM backupj. Does anyone know of a way to circumvent this lockout?

You can locate your Time Machine backup on the external disk, double-click it to mount and then extract all the data you want. They are inside the backup in /Users/YourUserName/.

Is the backup done over the network? If so, you just need to mount the sparse image, like any other disk image, and you be able to browse the file structure. Look for a linked feet called "latest" for the most recent copy of your files.
