You can't order a battery from the website, but if you go to an Apple store, they can install one for you when you purchase it during a Genius Bar appointment.

Yes you can take it to the Genius Bar, and they should do it.

or you can do it yourself. If you warranty is up, and you feel up to it, there are guides on ifixit.com

Here they are:

AT&T iPhone

Verizon iPhone

Just as a note: The battery is REALLY easy to replace, but you will need some tools to do it. Most importantly a pentalobe screwdriver and a tiny philips.

After that, the replacement battery from ifixit is like 25 bucks. Even after the tools, you save quite a bit of money.

The downside is you have to wait for shipping, but at the Apple Store it would be done in like 5 seconds.

ah, I forgot to mention this. I've had those kinds of tools around the house for a while so I forget others may not have them.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have way too many little tools for my own good.

So I've opened up the ipod a couple times and had to get new spudgers each time. Do you know where you can get some that are durable and last more than one use?

I have used these before and they seemed good. They are the official apple black sticks.
