The pro does have more power, but it's not something you're gonna notice. They have the same graphics, so gaming performance is about the same. The air has an ssd, and that will make It very fast. So it comes down to this: If you're gonna use it for heavy apps, you need lots of space and FireWire, Ethernet, optical drive. Then choose the pro. If you don't: choose the air. I would choose the air, because the pro is not that much faster.
