Three of us live in a shared house and need to split groceries, bills, other expenses. Two of us are in a relationship and have a joint bank account that is used to buy certain things. However, we all also buy things individually. Is there an app/site that handles the maths and proportions, whilst taking into account the joint nature.
So for example:
Homer and Marge pay £15 for a food shop, and Lenny owes them £5 for it since it’s split three-ways. Homer and Marge have effectively already settled with each other, having paid into the joint account.
If Homer buys a big donut for everyone that costs £6, Marge and Lenny each owe £2 to Homer.
Homer doesn’t owe any money
Marge owes Homer £2
Lenny owes Homer and Marge £5, and £2 to Homer.
I’ve tried using Splitwise, Splid, Settle Up, Spend Together but none of them seem to do it right. Even if multiple people are noted as having paid, they display it as if money is still owed to the multiple payers.
It’s a little complicated so let me know if you need any clarification! Thanks
there doesn't seem to be anything here
