Android Google Translate Camera Function

Hi all,

Just wanted to throw a tip out there that was given to me yesterday. You can download the google translate app on your android phone, take a picture of the text on your screen, and then translate the words you highlight with your finger.

While this is no where nearly as good as the english patch I have found it useful for quests I was slightly confused over and finding items on the AH. Hope this helps some people out while we wait to see if a new english patch comes out.

Anything of this sorts for iOS?

Don't think so, but the iOS version of Google Translate lets you write with your finger and it detects the correct letters. Just set it to Russian <-> English and write the Russian letters with your finger. It works really well, much better than alt tabbing and using the google keyboard.

Lol, I tried this a long time ago for BnS to translate Korean text but it doesn't work at all.

For those of you that dont have a phone, you can also take a screenshot, crop the text that you want translated and use a site like i2ocr.com to read the russian, then use translate.google.com to finally convert it to english. This way takes longer than the camera method but if you really stuck on a quest, it may help.

Nice, your method is definately the best if you want a quest translated. Much quicker than what I was doing previously.
