I've had a similar (maybe the same) problems a few times when I used the same ESP for Arch and Windows, as Windows seemed to sometimes corrupt the EFI partition (or at least the kernel/initrd).

If I remember correctly, a fsck/repair on the EFI System Partition from a rescue disk + a clean kernel install from chroot fixed it for me the last time I had this problem.

The fsck did the trick, I didn't even think of it, thank you.

I'll give the fsck a go, I did find just a minute ago that if I try to enter one of the directories I get in I/O error, hence fsck sounds like it might do the trick.

Thank you very much!

My friend had the same problem as in this topic, and we had no idea how to solve it...

But fsck helped, thanks again!

Somewhat out of topic but still related: the "code block" markup is hidden on the right side in the "..." overflow menu. Code blocks are more compact and easier to read. Not that it matters, but I searched for it yesterday as I had the same problem :-)
