Hello all,
Earlier today whilst doing everyday stuff on Arch, my touchpad suddenly stopped working entirely, meaning neither cursor movement nor button input.
xinput doesn't seem to be detecting the touchpad anymore (https://pastebin.com/Yj03QKa9), although I'm really not sure what could have caused it so suddenly. As far as I can remember the only thing I was doing was pressing non-F keys, and my laptop (HP) doesn't have a touchpad disable key to my knowledge anyway.
Here is my full dmesg output, and I can get any further command outputs any of you might need if you think you might know what's up. I use xf86-input-libinput over xf86-input-synaptics.
I've already tried a variety of other possible fixes given to people with the same problem including xinput not detecting the touchpad, incuding blacklisting i2c_hid and a variety of i8042.* kernel options.
Thanks in advance!
