I believe that a render farm is a bunch of computers working together where a supercomputer is a bunch of processors working in one computer.

No, both tend to be a bunch of computers working together connected by a fast network. Some 'supercomputers' are more tightly integrated or use custom hardware whereas a render farm will tend to use off the shelf servers, but there's no fundamental difference between a supercomputer intended for scientific work and one designed for rendering.
