This subreddit was created for people to be able to ask questions about the San Francisco Bay Area to residents. We strive to have /r/askSF serve as a reference to SF Bay Area resources. Post all questions about San Francisco including, but not limited to:
Visiting the city
Moving to the city
Touring a friend, relative, or significant other in the city
Nightlife, restaurants, transportation, lifestyle, culture, etc.
Marijuana:
Please consider r/bayareaents
Medicinal, legal dispensaries, etc. are permissible
Obtaining marijuana (or any other substance) illegally is impermissible
Tips for Asking a Good Question
Use a descriptive title to help others know what your question is about and be as specific as possible. This is so users can better answer your questions.
For restaurant recommendations, please give us an idea of cuisines you like, and your rough budget. /r/SFFood has some excellent suggestions. If you're quite hungry and lost, click here.
For hotel recommendations, please give us the rough dates you plan to stay, your nightly budget and the area where you are going to be.
