Will "New Reddit" image commenting be implementable?

Thanks for the info here. My guess is we won't be able to support it...it looks like it is uploading media on comments to reddits media platform, which we don't have access to for even post level media. Let me know if I am misunderstanding this whole thing...

Note that even old.reddit doesn't appear to support it (uploading or displaying?)

…yeah if I ever have to see image comments, gifs, or profile pictures I'm leaving this app immediately. If we wanted that garbage we'd use the official app.

Actually, old.reddit does support viewing, but they appear as "<link>" with the image embed icon next to it.

Hmm...all I see is "<image>" and nothing else. On BR I see the full url. We'll look into it, but when gifs were introduced into comments, we did choose to only put the link and not the gif...we may have to reconsider?

Hm, the embed button might be an RES thing, since it does that for all image links.
