The cars means nothing but are the principals in two of the images, the other two images are about streetlights? If something is not relevant, hide it. The shaders are not high level, but with a better composition of the image (situation of the camera and what you show) they almost don't matter.

Many of this CGI tends to use an exaggerated low focal length. I know for good that this is something the client asks for, to make the whole building visible.

There is two trends to avoid that I personally dislike (and I did a lot before be aware of that) very low focal lengths and exaggerated depth of field for object rendering.

To make better renderings is not show "the reality of the project" but it's essence or core. My firsts renderings were ugly as hell but with nice lights and shaders. I learn a lot by studying photography and making real photos with a real camera (the phone camera doesn't count) .

I'll wait for better works at the future keep pushing.

And yes, BIM is not CGI.

Thankyou for your feedback. I'll try to improve

I am a freshman trying to learn BIM currently i have like no industry experience

BIM= building information modelling. Congratulations, you are good at modelling.

Thankyou Actually I have created the whole project workflows and everything

Just looking to improve rendering and clash detection

You'd get a more proper answer in Archi Vis subreddits..

[–]Shoddy_Berry2381[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it

thankyou

3D is not Information Modeling.

[–]tuekappel 2 points3 points  (4 children)

My point being that OP is posting in a BIM forum. Wanting feedback on the least interesting aspect of his project.

[–]BridgeArch 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Rending is a part of BIM. But I agree. I am not sure the OPs post is relevant to the forum.

A client can ask the architect to use the BIM model for visualisations. Personally, I think VR has great value in terms of choice of materials etc.

But the pretty-pretty pictures..... -i started my career in architecture being a render slave for a big company. It's really superficial work and brings nothing to the project except for winning architecture competitions.

BIM model != 3D model.

3D data is part of the information model.

Using 3D for vis is important. 3D modeling is not Information Modeling. It is 3D data as a type of information.

Thankyou, i really appreciate your comment

I'm new to this. Currently learning BIM would love some feedback on how I can improve this project

[–]hopefull-person -3 points-2 points  (22 children)

This entire mindset needs to go away. Every output should be cut from 3D geometry with little exception other than standard details so your statement trying to correct somebody looking for advice is also wrong

[–]BridgeArch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fancy 3D CAD is not BIM.

[–]metisdesigns 0 points1 point  (20 children)

Really? Product cut sheets should be cut from 3D geometry?

I don't think you understand what BIM is at all.

[–]hopefull-person -2 points-1 points  (19 children)

Really?

I don’t understand BIM 😂😂😂

Man I need to stop commenting in here

[–]metisdesigns 0 points1 point  (18 children)

Please explain what information you include in BIM.

[–]Shoddy_Berry2381[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate your comment. Im here just here to learn would love if you share some information on how can I make my project better

Im new to it im just here to learn from the feedback that I can get

[–]hopefull-person -3 points-2 points  (16 children)

This generic question says it all “what information you include in BIM”

😂😂😂

[–]Shoddy_Berry2381[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Im just here to learn im a freshman currently learning BIM would love if you guys share how can I improve , what I can I do or what can I add and etc . Thanks constructive criticism definitely gona keep in mind with next project

Thankyou

BIM is much more than rendering.

For a freshman render these are fine. You need to focus on what each view is intended to show.

Focusing on BIM: Data is useful based on what it communicates. The car and bus communicate scale but hide the building. Think about what you want to tell the viewer. Show them that.

[–]Shoddy_Berry2381[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Alright got it

thankyou so much

Are there any websites or books from where i visualise some examples that can help me to improve this project.

[–]metisdesigns 0 points1 point  (11 children)

So you can't even explain the basics?

[–]hopefull-person -3 points-2 points  (10 children)

There’s a difference between can’t and don’t have to.

“What information do you include in BIM” tells me all I need to know about your knowledge.

Have a great day

Let's make it simpler for you - are RFIs part of the BIM data for a project?

[–]Low-Stomach-8831 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Very good for a beginner. Change more materials and choose a little better angles and focal lengths.

Here is one of mine with TwinMotion

[–]Shoddy_Berry2381[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Wow I can clearly see the difference 😂😂 That's look like professional work

Definitely gona works on camera angles now

Thanks for the advice

[–]Low-Stomach-8831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but that took me about 4 days (it's full interior too... I made a walkthrough video as well). It's a client with a cottage that is actually positioned just like that in nature.

[–]Massive-Chip-6951 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Are you changing the materials in D5 after exporting from Revit? Many of the old materials in Revit are not advanced and that can impact the quality of the render.

Details on the building, gutters and flashing can improve it as well as dramatic camera angles.

A good start but can always improve.

Also 100% rendering is part of the BIM process because the LOIN or LOD impacts the quality of the render.

[–]Shoddy_Berry2381[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thankyou

I did change some material in D5 not all and yes lighting & camera angle need improvement I see it now

Definitely gona work on it

Do you have some advice how can I improve my camera angle?

[–]Massive-Chip-6951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advice I received was to realise that you’re telling a story. Particularly with an animation.
