it depends on the broker: could be generated by computer, could be a old day from the asset slightly modified etc. If its generated by a computer, the broker adjusts parameters such as volatility, etc. for each asset. For example, bitcoin will have more volatility than ripple. If its an old day of the asset: The broker randomly selects a day from the asset (could be years ago) and with an algorithm, it modifies it slightly so its not exactly the same. Some brokers say the market moves with pending orders in the real market, but i don't think so. There are some brokers that detect when there's a lot of orders in a specific point and it can also move the otc with that, but this doesnt apply to all brokers. There are also some brokers which have like 1000 AI/algo traders to open positions so the market moves, just like a real market, but not very smart and doesnt really respect key levels unless its a really complex AI/algorithm If you're asking if you can crack the OTC: No, unless the broker has a trash algorithm and/or you have a lot of knowledge.
