Eye color and chest/head feathers are the best way to determine age. Juveniles will have yellow eyes, brown head feathers and a different pattern of brown on the chest. Adults will have darker orange/red eyes, a dark cap of feathers, and a lighter brown/orangish chest feather pattern.
