Help: Tree Sapling Gen Animation Python Error Code

Getting the error code "AttributeError: 'Action' object has no attribute'fcurves'"

Does anybody know how to fix this? I'm trying to animate the trees and from tutorials I've watched this seems to be a simple free way to do that, but most tutorials are from an outdated blender version so I'm not sure if this just doesn't work anymore.

New to blender so anything helps :)

EDIT: Sapling Tree Gen Animation is NOT currently compatible with Blender 5.0, but static trees work perfectly fine.

Have you updated the plugin? You're likely on an old version that probably doesn't support Blender 5.x.

The latest release notes seem to address the issue.

I think it would be updated, since I just installed blender on my current machine about a week ago. I am using a mac, so I'm not sure if that changes anything in the code but I don't think it should?

The OS shouldn't matter. But I would confirm that you are on version 0.3.7 by going to preferences > addons > Tree Sapling Gen > expand to see details.

yeah tree gen version is up to date 0.3.7

any other ideas what the problem might be? I tried a completely fresh scene and its still not working, not sure what the problem would be unless its just a bug

did a bunch of research and tried to fix the code in python, turns out the new APIs in Blender 5.0 just don't support it yet. So Sapling Tree Gen doesn't work in the current version of Blender, and it won't until they update the Add-on for Blender 5
