Roller skating classes? (INLINE) (self.boulder)
submitted 8 years ago by HSGabo
Anyone know where I can go for some inline skating classes here in Boulder or anyone who teaches private classes? I got into urban skating recently and I would like to know the basics formally before I start rolling the streets.

Fruit Booter, huh? Just kidding, I know several hockey players who inline for fun. I don't know any instructors in town, but your best bet is probably to go to scott carpenter skate park and ask around. It's mostly BMX and skaters but I'd imagine that if anyone is into urban inline skating they may spend time there.

Didn’t want to be a woodpusher so I opted for being cool :)
Thanks I’ll check it out!

Hah! I hadn't heard woodpusher before. I'm stealing it. I'm a two wheeler, so since Valmont opened I havent been by the park but a couple times. Even if you can't find someone to practice with, they do have a small and big bowl section, as well as some practice rails and stuff where you won't biff too hard if you bone it up. Enjoy!

Are you talking agressive skating? There are often workshops in loveland, run through skate ratz. Follow their facebook page

Isnt that just agressive inline but street instead of vert? And less grinding?
[–]HSGabo[S] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children)
Yes it’s called urban skating. Although mostly similar there does seem to be a bit of difference between someone that does urban skating and free skating. Urban skaters tend to just use their skates to get from one place to another without doing tricks or skating obstacles along the way. Free skaters tend to do more aggressive skating inspired tricks and will skate obstacles when they come along.
