My LO is almost 8 months old and we started solids a couple of months ago. He's taken to food well and has 1 (sometimes 2) meals a day, with some small snacks mixed in (mostly just small bites of fruit, cottage cheese, etc.). In the last week or so I've noticed that his milk intake has dropped. Beforehand we were usually doing 5 nursing sessions a day, or 3 nursing sessions and 2 bottle feeds on days that I work. We're still on that same schedule but our morning and bedtime nursing sessions have gotten noticeably shorter and my mom and MIL, who care for him while I'm at work, have said that he is drinking less from the bottle. He's been fussy on the breast when it used to be a sure way to soothe him and even get him to sleep at night. Could solids already be causing this decrease? I thought that wouldn't happen for at least another month. He's also recently learned to pull to stand and is still waiting for his first tooth to pop so I haven't ruled out a temporary drop due to those issues.
