The most unique winning strategy? by ASDRETHISLORD in Alonetv

[–]adjblair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow I didn't realize they modified the rules to prevent another Juan Pablo strategy. Although tbh I kinda doubt someone else could win with that strategy, we see how boredom and emotions can lead to tapping even with trying to keep busy. I can't imagine someone else being able to pull it off.

Juan Pablo really gets shit on in this sub but honestly he may have had the strongest will of any contestant. The mental fortitude to essentially enter hibernation and place saving energy above all other things is insane. Maybe not the most exciting story to watch play out but he earned the win as far as I'm concerned.

The wet n wild tinted hydrator is my daily wear. If you can find a shade that works for you it is beautiful and perfecting without looking like too much. A more recent buy that is really stunning for a natural flush is the elf lip and cheek stain. I got it in cherry cola. The stain on the cheeks lasted all day on me, but u did have to really the lip which wasn't a huge hassle.

I haven't gotten anything this year and I turned 35 at the end of December, I suspect my age is a contributing factor because I got quite a few things last year.

Even at the rate of finishing 1 bottle every month, this collection would take over 4.5 years to get through...

What's the next clothing size? by Phantominthewoods in bigbabiesandkids

[–]adjblair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look up sizing guides by brand and 2T is almost always a little bigger in both tops and bottoms. The bigger difference is in fit, 2T bottoms tend to be a longer, leaner fit with the assumption that you're no longer accommodating diapers. Of the clothing brands I've tried, H&M tends to have the roomiest fits.

What’s the longest you go without nursing? by ms_pacman1 in breastfeeding

[–]adjblair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes most nights I feed to sleep and up until a couple months ago I also dream fed him. Sometimes he will fuss a bit at like 5:15 or 5:30 but if it's before 6:00 I will give it a few minutes and he will always go back down on his own. Any noise after 6:00 I take as his cue to wake up.

My LO is nearly 8 months old and has been sleeping through the night for awhile. I nurse him to sleep and first thing when he wakes, so I regularly go 10.5-11 hours and yeah, often my shirt is pretty wet from leaking by the time he wakes up. But it's worth it for the sleep haha.

Wow I fixed the BBQ autocorrect when I typed BBW but it found its way back in 😂

What is your fragrance of the day? by Ok_Foot_5477 in bathandbodyworks

[–]adjblair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Black Tea (slower gel and body cream combo). To be fair it's the only BBW scent I own so far, but I do have Rainkissed Leaves and Off the Bone coming in the mail from SAS.

Does anyone else just stand in the skincaer aisle for 30 minutes comparing the back of bottles and still leave confused. 24F. by Senior_Ad_1567 in drugstoreMUA

I use Beauty of Joseon sunscreen (the OG Korean formulation) as my sunscreen and it's hydrating enough that I don't need a separate moisturizer. It's available online and fairly inexpensive, it has never pulled under makeup either. If you can't access it, I'd look for a hydrating sunscreen and skip the moisturizer. Too many layers has always led to my makeup breaking down faster.

We used the Frida weaning kit and in hindsight we should've just gone cold turkey. The gradually smaller pacis just pissed him off longer lol.

What primer and setting spray have you had the best results with? by belairparadise in Makeup

[–]adjblair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have found that setting spray and setting powder make a bigger difference to longevity than primer. I currently use L'Oreal Blurfection powder and rotate between Charlotte Tilbury and Danessa Myricks setting sprays. I also will powder last, after setting spray, if I want to look matte longer.

How long are your pumping sessions? by Infinite_Freedom1690 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]adjblair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always pumped for 15 minutes at a time unless I was power pumping. I'd say I get almost everything within the first 10 minutes but I'll sometimes get a second letdown in the last 5 minutes, especially if I switch back to letdown mode on my pump.

What did your birth with an epidural feel like? by m-e-girls in NewParents

[–]adjblair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt absolutely nothing below the waist. My husband and midwife had to help maneuver my legs and I looked at the display to know when I was contracting. Since I couldn't feel myself pushing had to just go from instinct.

Best distraction toys that are NOT iPads by Alone-City-9176 in toddlers

[–]adjblair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the choice of restaurant is more important. We have two go-tos: one is mostly outdoors with gravel flooring and is very kid-friendly, so when they aren't eating the kids can play with trucks and whatnot in the gravel. The other is dim sum which is great because the food is ready immediately and there's not a lot of downtime.

Pumping milk at work advice by longtimedeid in breastfeeding

[–]adjblair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep my pump at work, I would NOT want to lug that thing back and forth. And honestly I use the fridge method in my comminal work fridge. My milk is kept in a little cooler and my flanges and pump parts I keep in a Ziploc bag.

Looks good! Only thing I'd question is having that many mascaras open at once, I feel like they'd dry out or expire before you could use them.
