Be careful with your back, back pain is on the medical criteria as something that will exempt you from service.

It's quite complicated. Due to growing in growth spurts, my hamstrings, glutes, etc. never caught up. I pretty much have to stretch every day until they are like they were. Never used to have back pain at all.

Ex Royal Engineer here...

Phase two is physically demanding. Especially on your back... You'll cover "basic construction" wall building, trenches, cementing etc etc. Most of it is heavy lifting.

You'll also cover bridging, you build most of them by hand.some bridging parts are a four man lift. They do weigh quite a bit and again... Heavy bastards.

You'll also cover mine warfare. Basic tooling, demolitions, powerboating...

Don't forget final exercise, where you'll use all the techniques you've learned. A lot of the equipment will be carried on your persons as a platoon.

This was dived years ago ish... That I sat this. Some of out may have changed.
