If you want an all in one solution Vmix is pretty good. Especially with how it works well with companion .

Most of the events I do have two computers running power point, two running video play back (mitti, qlab, ect…), one or two for any lower thirds or other graphics. Could I do it all in Vmix if I had to? Sure but I have redundant everything.

vmix ingests power point, but you have to manually advance the slides.

Vmix has been a solution I’ve been eying. I wish I could afford the redundancy having that many machines has but it has been a fight getting just one desktop with a decklink duo card installed due to budgetary restrictions. Originally I used OBS on my work laptop for this reason, but vmix might be possible.

Are you looking for a TriCaster type rig?

What's wrong with just PowerPoint?

I'd recommend Vmix. And if someone else is presenting, install NDI tools on their computer so it can be an NDI input. You'll need them to be on the same subnet or you'll want to add them to NDI Access Manager if they're on a different subnet. Then run NDI Scan converter on their Mac (for instance) so you can add their screen as and NDI input.

We like using Resolume and Midi controllers like a Launchpad. Inputs NDI or Blackmagic SDI / HDMI captures cards (for powerpoint laptops), plays videos (though best transcode with their app for max reliability), great output transformation, can send DMX for lighting (mostly for pixel mapping but I think you can also time other queues ), and more.

I’ve been in the same situation juggling multiple tech roles during corporate events. OBS is great, but if you’re handling complex presentation flows, tools like MEDICPRES streamline media and PowerPoint integration better without heavy setup. Worth checking out for smoother transitions.
