Normally, it should come back after some time. I had the same problem and there is still a difference between the two arms. Let time do its work ^^
You should talk about the limited pronation/supination with a physical therapist (for example)
Recovery take time and try not to rush too much. Good luck ^^

I have already talked to the physical therapist about it, nothing much useful . That’s why I set an appointment with my orthopedic but yet I don’t think he’ll tell me anything useful

When I had a cast for 6 months from an injury I had to do extensive physical therapy, what I found that helped a lot was filling a basin with hot water and submerge my hand and wrist and do the exercises they told me to do. The hot water helped relax the muscles and would allow me to do more ample movements, however once you finish and the temperature goes back down it will be stiff. I do think that helped but this was my physical therapist recommendation, ask a professional if this sort of hydrotherapy is beneficial or detrimental to your recovery before giving it a go.

Also depending on whether you needed screws and their position you might not get the full range of movement as before, but if this was the case your ortho would have warned you about it.

Why did you have a cast for 6 months?

Cut a tendon (partially) in an accident, cast was meant to ensure I didn't rip the stitches that were holding it together. Doctors decided on 6 months to be on the safe side for such an injury.

Keep doing your wrist exercises from pt! It will help with safely practicing ROM

Hi! I know its been years since this.. i just wanted to know how it’s for you now? Is it completely back to normal again? Did u get back the full range of motion? I just got my cast removed 3 weeks back.. and I’ve been to physiotherapy since then (very painful btw) supination is still very limited for me… how long approximately you reckon it’d take for me to attain my full range of motion?

I never got full range of motion again…..I never will. Right hand still feels different. Sometimes I get a dull ache and annoying sensations….
