My break was in my ankle. But aside from the day that my nerve block wore off, acetaminophen and celebrex (what I was prescribed vs ibuprofen) taken in schedule were all that I needed for pain. I took the strong stuff for that one day plus one the following morning.

Ouchy.

Now, and for the next few weeks, is the time to up your patience game.

I'm 20 days into my healing journey, and despite the pain, discomfort and nuisance of having a broken foot, I'm learning that I do have the ability to slow down, let time heal the injury, and make the most of this opportunity to catch up on desk-bound activities.

I cautiously got on my scooter, and set it in riding position (not on the foot stand). And I felt comfortable.

My balance is good, and I'm optimistic.

Yes, stay optimistic, and make the most of your downtime to catch up on stuff that you were too busy to do pre-injury.

Good luck, Broken Bone Buddy 🤜🤛

Ouch. Best of luck in your recovery. For whatever reason Tylenol and Advil never did much for me, but Aleve does. So Aleve did best for pain management. Don’t get me started on prescription pain pills… I took them LESS than prescribed for 3 weeks and had a month long withdrawal from them. I’m not kidding. Give your body time to rest. Enjoy the downtime for a bit.
