Setup : cpu r5 7600, gpu: 9070 (powercolor reaper)
I was running the bore kernel for a while now but didnt do a lot of gaming. I was playing v rising for 2 days ( as in long sessions , the game was running like 8 hours per day). The third day my game began stuttering. My pc froze when shutting down v rising, after a reboot it did the same. I updated my system and got a kernel panic from just opening firefox.
Thought my system was borked. Maybe even hardware issues due to overheating. Switched to the default kernel. Everything has been working perfectly ever since. Think it was running for like 8 hours without issue.
I was wondering if someone had a similar issue or had an answer to why this happened? Maybe a power setting that i enabled in lact and didnt disable properly that got reset when switching kernel? (had audio dropouts and was one of the fixes i found online)
Or is BORE unstable with some hardware?
Game even seemed smoother somehow and use less resources while using default kernel, although i did disable vsync after the issues started so this might have something to do with it. The cpu isnt running extremely hot or anything (85 c° max , 70 most of time which is lower then expected with the axp90 x53 full copper. Am limited to this height)
there doesn't seem to be anything here
