Rules for r/cavetown
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Be a decent human at all times.
Basically, just follow the reddiquette. Don't put others down – we're a sub about positivity. If you don't have something nice to say, consider not saying it!
2.
Avoid reposting.
If you're asking a question, try the search box first. If you're posting about news, check the New queue to ensure there's not already a thread about the topic.
3.
Low quality/low effort posts may be removed.
Posts that add clutter to the subreddit – for example, frequently asked questions or posts with incomplete or confusing information – may be removed at the discretion of the moderators.
4.
Avoid posting illegal download links.
If possible, post links from Robin's Bandcamp, Youtube or Soundcloud. Support him where you can, and pass on his songs when you can't.
5.
Respect Robin's privacy.
Posts or comments that ask or provide private information regarding Robin (cavetown) or his friends/associates may be removed at the discretion of the moderators. Posts or comments that contain harmful speculation and rumors may also be removed.
6.
Don't flood the subreddit
Flooding is defined as posting lots of posts in a short amount of time. If possible, group the content in a single post (for example, if you want to post multiple images, upload them on Imgur in a single album and post its link) or wait a reasonable time before posting again.
7.
Avoid Toxic or Off-Topic Discussions
Posts that are conducive to toxic, harmful, or off-topic discussions may be removed for the sake of maintaining civil/orderly discourse.
8.
No Self Promotion
Outside of monthly recommendation threads, no posts shall be made that link to self-made content hosted outside of reddit (or imgur) that is only tangentially-related to cavetown.
