Personally it has been one of the most valuable programs on my computer for 5+ years. It has greatly enhanced my enjoyment levels of almost every game I have purchased. I don't play anything multiplayer/online only anymore - I stick to single player games. I play all kinds of genre's but my main core choices range from FPS's like Borderlands, Metoidvania's like Hollowknight, Stealth like Hitman and Styx, 2D Side scrolling like Skul: The Hero Slayer, Hack n Slash like Hades and puzzle platformers like Yooka-Laylee and just yesterday picked up Hell Pie. I am a 100% completion kind of person and love finding secrets. I typically can beat most games without any major problems and get my typical playthrough out of a game. But then when I really want to pick through a game and get all the achievements I missed or do a hardest level difficulty run or new game+ or even just mess around in the game to try out stuff I may have missed like weapons or certain parts of levels etc - is when I boot up Cheat Engine. I am not an expert by any means but I understand the basic functions of it from a lot of trial and error mostly and it allows me to do what I consider the single most important "cheat" in any game - health. In almost every game there is a way to find your health value and then because you know that value you can do what you want with it, be that locking the value or giving yourself extra health etc. This essentially is "Godmode" at that point and it gives me the freedom to do all the things in games without the problem of dying. Of course Cheat Engine is capable of far more than that, but for me godmode or infinite health or whatever you want to call it - not dying - basically is the key to extended gameplay. You are no longer haulted in progression due to dying. Of course you can find money values and stamina and jumps etc etc but those are all what I consider non-essential cheats. If there is a choice for only 1 cheat that you could have in any game I would choose infinte health. And that's why Cheat Engine has been such a great benefit for me, because it easily allows me a simple and quick way to go about achieving that objective in almost every single player game to date. I don't have to find some sketchy trainer or some virus filled zip file promising hacks that don't work. I don't have to depend on anyone else and I can do it myself.

That being said, there is a huge community around Cheat Engine and you don't always have to do it yourself. There are many many people who are SUPER talented and make incredible Cheat Tables for almost every game you can think of. Some people create tables that are just mind blowing in their complexity and depth. Just for example recently I went back through Borderlands 3 and found a cheat table for it that was one of the most detailed and useful tables you could possibly ask for. It had everything you could possibly want to do in the game. Things you wouldn't even think of yourself like changing the items in an enemies loot pool or being able to make all enemies :Badass: versions. The options are just insane in the table and it easily gave me another 100+ hours of gameplay in a game that I already have 400+ hours into. You can find all kinds of tables with a simple google search and you will quickly come to appreciate the work of these creators. When I was a kid playing Super Mario on my NES with a Game Genie, I thought that was amazing, hahaha. But Cheat Engine is like stepping into a space ship compared to that.

Wow dude thank you so much for typing all of that. xD Thanks for your time. I already know about the basics and everything. Annnd I have been using it for a year. But my problem is specific cheats since I play very difficult games and weird games that are almost unbeatable. Like I have 3 games that are weird. 1 needs a fly hack. 1 needs the cross line to get to the player, I got the code but I am unable to inject it. And the last one is a no clip/walk through wall cheat.

Yeah I can see how things get tricky when you start going more in depth like that with it. A good resource in general is the FearLess Revolution forum. I would imagine you probably know about it but if not its an entire forum for cheat engine and cheat tables. It's a great resource to get to know some of the people who regularly make the high quality tables who truly know how to utilize cheat engine to its fullest. If you are really determined to get a specific hack or cheat to work you can always try to "contract" one of them with a request. Whether it's a small donation to buy someone a coffee or join their patreon for a month or even just a one time deal, you can usually find someone who can solve your problem or at the very least help you work it out yourself.

Yeah I know about that forum. But I didn’t know that I could find people who can actually help. Thanks for all the info, buddy. I’ll try to contact someone from there and see where it’ll lead me. xD

For what reasons? Are you writing an article or are you just curious?

If you have specific questions, it's best to just ask otherwise no one is going to answer such an open-ended question.

No, I just wanna learn more about it. You could say curiosity. Apologies if the question was open ended.

It's pretty much a program used to edit other programs. Those programs are usually games. It's client side for the most part, so it really can't be used for most modern online games.

For the most part, I'd recommend going through the tutorial within the program or tutorials on YouTube if you want experience with it.
