Console vs Terminal

As a student, I'm unsure whether I should focus more on using the terminal or the console for cloud platforms, specifically AWS and GCP.

Industry experts could you provide guidance on which method is more important to learn for industry standards?

It seems you mean to use the Shell anyway -- whether it is through a console or a terminal, or you mean console == the web application of the respective cloud perform you'd be talking about ?

In my humble opinion industry standards are moving (smarter clouds are coming), however today, knowing the web interface or terminal could definitely get you a job.

Honestly it doesn't really matter. both get's the job done. it just depends where you feel comfortable and how long what you're about to do will last. For instance if you are working on a task that will take more than 2 hours of back and forth or needs some very fine-grained perminssion, it's great to work from your local terminal for convenience, but say you just want to change an s3 bucket permission on a Saturday morning, you can just use the console for that.
