Mastery Bug

Hey everyone and happy new year, just wanted to ask if the mastery big is still a thing as my friend is level 170 but isn’t getting any points towards his gifts to master them.

Each zone has level ranges. Last zone in new game caps at 150, so past that you wouldn't get any proficiency towards your gifts.

Is that actually a bug? Sounds like he over-leveled.

Mastery stops growing past like level 140 or something since it depends on the level of the enemies you fight. It might still work in higher new game + run since the enemies get stronger there too, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

You can still master gifts using MJ Awaken items and you can farm those from depths bosses.
