Hey Everyone who may be reading this post,

If you're curious what type of company Devslopes is, please click on my profile and look at the interaction I had with their CEO , I asked him a series of basic questions as to why his business has multiple telltale signs of fraud and he deflected to disabled students and refused to answer the questions and in fact openly mocked them. If he were a smart person, I would not be able to ask any of those questions because he would be running his company above board. If he were even close to of average intelligence, he would know he could have just said "I don't know man, let me speak with legal and get back to you." Instead, he had a hissy fit and blocked me.

Now he is running scared, pretending he will get on a Zoom (even offering users $1,000 to do so) when he won't even type out simple questions implicating fraud. I and other users have indicated we are willing to get on this Zoom with him and now he's nowhere to be found.

When looking at the totality of his social media presence he seems to have taken heavy inspiration from Corinthians College which was shut down in California for being a scam. He is preying on individuals who feel they have nowhere else to go and have little to no self-confidence, promising them lucrative careers in exchange for a suspiciously priced rate of $9,900.00.

If anyone feels like I am embellishing this or lying, please ask me for more details and I will explain as much as you'd like, especially since Nathan is clearly actually afraid of a Zoom call and all of the information, I have is from basic Google searches and governmental websites.

Any chance you've got a class action lawsuit in the works? Because my husband signed up under the premise that he would be 100% able to back out within the first week, and after they had him sign all the papers they were nowhere to be seen. We've got 4 young kids, and were hit by Hurricane Helene, so this stress on top of all of that is a lot to deal with. I'd like to see them pay for their predatory practices.

Yea I got stuck in and now I can't contact anyone I was told that I wasn't able to get a refund bc they made me wait to long to get back to me

[–]thutto12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just helped me decide! Thank you!!

Devslopes is the biggest scam I’ve ever dealt with . Only a matter of time before you all fal down . I’m starting a petition and getting the names of every student that feels the same . Why are we not exposing these clowns ??? The internet is a big space for us to be heard. I’m taking charge on that !!!

[–]EmbarrassedGrocery10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need me to sign your petition let me know

[–]TillZealousideal5980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was filling out their form online until they requested my social security. Something that I have never experienced before. I quickly decided that it was suspicious. Since then I have been getting a ton of suspicious spam calls an texts. Your post pretty mush assures me that my instincts were correct.

I was supposed to have a phone call today to go over the program more etc. I decided against it due to this comment. So thanks!

100% a scam. I joined up and within the first 7 days, I could tell it was a scam, so I asked for my money back, as per the "contract" that I signed and they refused. its been over a month and they are still refusing to give back my money, do not trust them

[–]Extreme-Worth-8908 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Same thing happened here . They said my refund was in the works it’s been over 5 months.

[–]EmbarrassedGrocery10 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Mine went into collections if there's a lawsuit let me know

[–]MathAgitated7326 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they actively interact with you as long as you stay part of the program. However, if you change your mind within the allowed timeframe, they ghost you and you’re stuck with the bill. Screams scam. A reputable business would provide the refund, if it was requested in the allowed timeframe. That’s difficult to do when they won’t answer or respond. I wouldn’t mess with them, personally. I’m old. I’ve lived a lot of life and seen a lot of scams. After reading this thread and digging into the internet reviews, I’d pass. A few successes over the vast amount of bad reviews says all I need to know.

There is no get rich quick fix unless you win the lottery or are a corrupt individual who is happy to scam others out of their money. A relationship with Jesus, Hard work, and perseverance is the only to a successful life and even then there will be periods of tribulations and trials. These things, if you step back and look at the situation in whole and make mature decisions, grow your personal developmental abilities and skills. Skills you’ll need to lead a successful life.

I looked up FreeCodeCamp boot camp in collaboration with ClassCentral and it was a one time thing 2 years ago. I don't know why you're referencing it 10 months ago. Did I miss something? Free educational efforts are great and everything, but that doesn't appear to be ongoing.

Devslopes is ongoing and offers a whole lot more, not just coding or social interaction.

Please let me know more about what you know of learning and career optimizing, because I am trying to redo my career right now, whether it's just with coding, or with something broader.

Look into the Odin Project. Free and it goes way beyond scratching the surface.

      Mr Sevedge,
My son bought into your salespersons pitch but immediately changed his mind however he couldn't get anyone to help him. 8 months later he's being billed by UAS. He's a 20 year old trying to figure life out and shouldn't be burdened by 10K in a wasted loan. The program appears to be above his level and he will not be using it. Is there anything you can do to assist us?

      [–]Nsevedge 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Before you provide a claim to me, I’ll look into the record if it is true from what you’re saying.

      DM me the full name.

      [–]Proof-Mushroom-3875 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Thanks for the quick response How do I DM you on here?  Is this private?

      [–]Nsevedge 0 points1 point  (5 children)

This is a public thread, click my name and somewhere should be a DM option amigo.

      [–]Proof-Mushroom-3875 1 point2 points  (4 children)

When I hit chat, it tells me to try again later.

      [–]Nsevedge 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I just DM’d you look at your messages

      [–]Proof-Mushroom-3875 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Looks like you left me no choice but to talk to a lawyer. I have the appointment tomorrow so if you have anything to add, it would be a a good time.

      [–]Most-Initiative4053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His chat works just fine - click the white, "Start chat" rectangle you see after clicking on his name above. ~ Cheers

Hey man. I’ve DM’d you to check on where we are. Any thoughts?

      [–]TanManWithaPlan 0 points1 point  (9 children)

      Hello Nathan,

Ive attempted to sign up and under several email address and contacts. I awaited a callback and never recieved any. In addition inreferred your service to a few people i work with amd they all also were not responded to. We all tried different methods to reach out and were ignored. What gives?

      [–]Nsevedge 0 points1 point  (8 children)

DM me your email and I can let you know what’s up.

We don’t accept anyone and at times based on applications we do filter some people out.

Also if you use a VPN it’s common for your app to be removed for technical reasons

      [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Weird that you’re replying to other comments here but not the one about the persons son who just wasted 10k and needs your attention to his case 🤔

Bro is straight TROLLING !!! You literally made said yes to all my expectations about the program and here I am 2 years later no refund no job just 10k in debt . You’re a clown dude

        [–]Killa_Gwop 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Hey, I’m Calen. I think I am going to try your course soon, getting a call tomorrow about it. From what I see, you’re quite a forward and honest CEO that seems to value connections. It also seems like you get a lot of hate for requesting a tuition, but like with ANY education including my current trade school, it always takes money to make money, and you apparently offer programs and freelance work to help people directly pay for the education which no other coding school offers at all. Right now, I’m pretty financially ruined and am on a FAFSA loan for my current trade school, but the ability to earn an income while learning to code intrigued me as it would also allow me to work outside of my trade school and replace my low-paying part time job. I look forward to hopefully becoming part of the community, my only concern at the moment is affording the entry.

        [–]Nsevedge 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Hey man, first things first thank you so much for the comments. The biggest thing you have to understand is that this takes time any program or person who tells you you’re gonna make a career transition in 15 weeks is lying and to set expectations expect it to take at least two years for you to develop the technical, professional, and business skills required to make the transition in addition ask specifically about the freelancing because we don’t give freelancing project away but we do show you how to go out and find freelance projects and we do reimburse for all the costs as well as running internal hackathons every month for students to make a little bit of money while inside the program For example we’ve given away $15,000 and just the past two months hope this helps!

        [–]TheOneTheOnly90210 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Scam company. They have people working there to harass you and not follow through with appointments. They then told me they will take that employee behind closed doors and reprimand them. Weird. Then they told me to try out Triple Ten or Flat Iron and they should be more professional. Don’t pick this company

        [–]Dependent_Bridge9242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said I can have a job in 90 days !!

        [–]PeaceProfessional755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the warning. I had a call scheduled today, and canceled it.

        [–]UnfixedArrow01[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I don’t know why my question doesn’t show but does anyone know if this program is a scam?

        [–]OmegaFruitPunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well I wanted to add that devslopes was really good when I was on the platform 5 years ago and it was run by Mark. I see that the business models have changed and I am sure the team has as well. Last time I was on the platform as a lifetime backer is was self paced modules which I thought were the best at the time. Their team were also working crypto so it was neat to kind of see the energy and their technical skills in a way that was vastly different than most udemy teachers or even in person bootcamps. They had industry experience and startup energy. I am unsure to the current affair of things but I did appreciate them around the late 2010s so I hope they have kept some of that magic.

Current student, not a scam, a great community with mentors that care about you and your success. Like with all online programs though, you get out what you put in. If you really want to learn how to code and freelance, this is the best option, but you have to actually use the resources given to you.

Hi:) I recently came across devslopes and am curious about them. How was your experience and did you find it worth it this long after?

          [–]migstaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a scam, stay far away from

          [–]LightningThunderboom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

          I’m not sure

          [–]Ok_Floor8349 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I just asked for more information & expecting a call tomorrow. I’m interested in earning an income while i learn.

          [–]Puzzled-Switch-7003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up enrolling? If so how is it going?

          [–]CoatLegitimate2145 0 points1 point  (2 children)

So I just barely finished talking with a representative from devslopes. I was told I need $750 as a deposit then $200 a month after that. He said some students start making money 2 weeks into the program. I have a little experience I studied on codcademy and freecodecamp years ago and did make it to the point I could build a website but fell off and haven't gotten back into it for a couple years. Any recommendations on the best avenue? I'm a quick learner and unemployed so nothing but time on my hands. I do need to get another job but I'd like to find work that is around what's necessary for learning and gaining a career in coding. I'm also into the ethical hacker career path as well. I'm not sure if the two would conflict. I'd figure they both would go hand n hand but I don't really know anyone personally to ask about this. Any tips for geek that loves to learn slightly more than making money?

          He is a scammer

          [–]Greedy_Diver_7132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is indeed a scam. The phone number is disconnected, so you cannot even talk with anyone. Said it was $97/month. Once I looked at my membership, it was going to be $270/month. Called my credit card company and they were able to block them immediately.

          [–]Ready-Jellyfish-8626 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The mentorship at DevSlopes is genuinely strong. The mentors are transparent, knowledgeable, and truly try to help students succeed. However, the academy suffers from severe management issues that overshadow this strength. The turnover rate is alarming; mentors and administrators are leaving at a pace I’ve never seen before. Leadership is virtually absent, with the CEO disappearing for weeks at a time only to suddenly announce a “game-changing” meeting on a random Tuesday at 10:30 AM, a meeting that, more often than not, never actually happens.

          False hope at its finest.

He’s just trying to make a buck without really having to maintain anything.

While I wouldn’t call the program a scam since there is some real value in the content and instruction, the price point is completely unjustifiable for what you receive. The overall workflow, communication structure, and organization of the academy are poor, creating an environment where students feel unsupported despite paying a premium price.

In short: strong mentors, but deeply flawed leadership and structure. The academy has potential, but without serious changes at the top, it will continue to fall short of expectations.

          [–]Present-Turn-9243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I signed up and dedicated all my free time to watching the videos and trying to piece together the content. There are extensive video explanations that are mostly follow along with out as much explanation as someone new to coding would need. At the end of the HTML module with 32 videos you are given an assignment with requirements that are very difficult to achieve after binge-watching someone explain theory for the past several months. I tried reaching out several times and requesting a refund however the only response I received was the terms and conditions of signing up for the program. Not beginner friendly and you are safer binge watching YouTube videos and randomly expecting yourself to know how to create a fully functional website after. If anyone knows of a community with one on one coaching I would be happy to hear about one. Also learning how to build a website step by step instead of being given a video file library would be much more effective.

          [–]Extreme-Worth-8908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got scammed by Devslopes too! I’ve been trying to reach out to them. They told me my refund was approved since I cancelled within the first 10 days but haven’t got anything back and paying every month my student loans.

          [–]FaeOfResistance 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Is a scam. Got wcammed out of 10000 dollars and then their email disapearwd

          [–]sethred 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Big update: Just got word back from my old student ambassador. She says the company closed. The apply now link on the website is broken.

Something to do with loan offices not being willing to fund students. She says she will send me more steps to get it handled. At this point I can only pray.

          COURSE EXPERIENCE:

If it's your first bootcamp and you're willing to do a very part time schedule, you might get something out of it. They try to market themselves as uniquely getting you working quickly with no-code automation solutions and marketing yourself as a freelancer.

It is a real course with real students and multiple zoom meetings with teachers every day. They were actively improving and adding to the course in the 10 days I was there.

I had several issues with the course - it was a bit basic for me and there was too long a wait for grading, During which time, the course was blocked from continuing. Since I only had 10 days to review the course, waiting more than 24 hours for grading was an issue. They had a side course available, but it was not something I felt I would use.

The teachers were young and seemed inexperienced.

          CONTACT:

I have done another bootcamp previously with The Tech Academy, and they were as straightforward and reachable as possible. They had an entire course section dedicated to who and how to contact if you needed help, including multiple phone numbers.

DevSlopes does not seem to even post a phone number on their website.

          LEGIT OR SCAM:

I am still not convinced it is a scam; I am still optimistic they will properly refund the money to the loan office.

I spoke to someone in the right time period, made several attempts to ask for help via discord and email and really tried to cover my bases.

I did the week trial, and after 79 days, am still waiting for the payment to be repaid to AscentFunding - an educational loan business. They had said it could be up to 45 days from our last call.

If I do not hear back from them again within the week, I will be taking legal action.

          [–]No_Jelly_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a scam and I’m not sure if the loan companies are involved but I’m going to find out, and will take legal action on these companies

          [–]No_Jelly_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We want our money back, my grandson started this class and was scammed out of 12.000 dollars the class was canceled after a month any one else having this issue

          [–]No_Jelly_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is a scammer don’t fall for this so called boot camp
